Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At 13 years old, he left the state of Nebraska. old, he moved together with family members from Nebraska to Casper within the Western part of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father was the director of the local district of soil conservation for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
