Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in the Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. Later, she would be Romania's gymnastics coach. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. The first time she competed in an international competition in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she won named the all-around Junior Champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. This was the first time she competed as an older senior. The first female to perform a reverse double salo with the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she started performing as a figure skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her entertainment career in her teens. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. These shows included skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
